Product Description

Do you know why most people don't get what they want out of life?

It’s FEAR! But we’re all afraid—often of pursuing the very thing we want most. We spend our lives living by the rule we were taught as children: If the feeling is "not okay," back away. This book helps you learn a new response to fear:

"It’s okay to be afraid. But afraid or not, if you have a dream, you need to pursue it."

Based on his own personal journey and the 10-step program he devised to get his clients to take action instead of making excuses, Sandy shows how insidious and pervasive fear can be in our lives and exactly what we need to do to overcome it.

Learn why we get stuck in the "Safe Neighborhoods" of our minds. Confront your "But Monster" head on and come to recognize when you're receiving a "payoff" for staying stuck.

The book identifies the Seven Paralyzing Fears to watch for and includes a Dream Journal that helps you commit to overcoming your obstacles and work through your 10 steps to reach your dreams.

Practical Self-Help Book

Review Date: May 24, 2005
Reviewer: K. Steinhaus, Hopewell, NJ USA
This book is easy to read & follow -- nice short chapters, clear & simple exercises to help clarify issues and objectives, plus worksheets in the back to help you get started & track your progress. Points are illustrated with interesting examples of how people have encountered and overcome obstacles. I signed up for the free monthly e-letter, which provides additional suggestions & helps remind me to continue to take stock of what I want and where I'm headed.

I enjoyed reading Schussel's book on overcoming fears. It's filled with helpful advice and realistic goals. A very optimistic approach to the future.
